Toyota might not be involved in F1 anymore, it does not mean it broke all ties with motor sports in general. This week TGB announced that it is supporting the popular and exciting MR2 Championship in the UK as title sponsor for 2011. The MR2 championship is a national series organized by the 750 Motor Club, an auto racing club in the UK. The 750MC promotes low-cost racing for enthusiasts, with a range of championships for production and racing sports cars, saloons and single-seaters.

The Toyota MR2 Championship comprises three classes, for each generation of MR2/MR2 Roadster, running standard engines and transmissions. As you’ll probably remember, production of the MR2 was discontinued in 2007.
Toyota’s sponsorship of the series extends its support for UK motor sport, alongside its recently-announced backing for the Toyota Sprint Series and its support helping privateers with Avensis race cars to teams competing in the 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
The MR2 Championship will be fought out over 13 races held across seven meetings.

1) Sarebbe splendido poter organizzare una visita del Club ad uno degli eventi (magari faccio da mediatore..e partecipo anch'io ad un evento per la prima volta..)
2) abbiate pazienza che in casa bollono parecchie cose... l'anno prossimo arriva la FT86 e dopo averla testata vi assicuro che é giá un bel guidare... |

Belle le gare, bello il campionato, bello tutto....
..ma se magari si rimettono a produrre qualche auto sportiva a prezzi umani, sarebbe meglio..
